POSITION TITLE:     

President & Chief Executive Officer

Board Chair (on behalf of the Board of Trustees)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:      

The Association seeks a dynamic and experienced President/CEO who will serve as the visionary of the organization, leveraging the power of relationships and networks, while working across private and public sectors within the Greater Columbus community. The President/CEO is the steward of the brand, and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maintain the financial stability of the brand. Understanding that the Association serves a large number of underserved and hard-to-reach clients, the President/CEO works to effectively build and sustain relationships with diverse staff and constituencies. Through an experienced team, the President/CEO provides leadership in the development of innovative programs to support the mission. The role also supports the health of the organization through operational and financial oversight and executing on the policies authorized by the Board. The recruitment and retention of the highest quality staff, and management of staff functions, is a critical responsibility.

POSITION TITLE:

Outreach Specialist Nurse: Case Manager for the Lung Health Clinic

RESPONSIBLE TO:

Director of the Lung Health Clinic and Outreach Services

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Outreach Specialist Nurse: Case Manager/Energy Educator is responsible for assisting with daily clinic function and case management of the client under the direction of the clinic director. Our goal is to help improve the social determinants of health and improve daily functioning of energy insecure persons with asthma, COPD, and other lung related problems. S/he is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating agency programs that respond to the psychological and educational needs of energy insecure adults experiencing lung related problems. This position assists the Director in the clinic, aboard the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) and in the community with direct patient care and education, testing and screening, energy security screening and education, supply and equipment education and assistance with medical certificates for energy stability and education, coordination, and administration of vaccines as well as testing for COVID-19, and referrals to other medical/social services as needed.

POSITION TITLE:     

Medical Assistant

RESPONSIBLE TO:         

Director of Lung Health Clinic

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:      

The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting with daily clinic functions and additional duties under the direction of the Director of Lung Health Clinic and in association with the nursing and administrative staff. Our goal is to help improve the daily functioning of persons with asthma, COPD, and other lung-related problems through health and energy intervention. The Medical Assistant will assist the Director in the clinic and aboard the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) with direct patient care. With duties such as spirometry testing, accurate and timely record keeping, reporting, discharge education, administration of vaccines/medications, performing basic laboratory tests and, transmitting prescription refills/patient assistance applications. Additional duties using computer applications, answering telephones, greeting patients, updating and filing patient medical records, scheduling appointments, arranging laboratory services, and handling correspondence.

This engagement is supported by telephone, electronic and in person communication that relates customer service at its best in responding and engaging in customer’s requests and concerns. TBA’s Administrative Support staff are Gatekeepers for the organization and the first point of contact with our community at large.
