Mobile Medical Units
The Breathing Association utilizes Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) to bring health care to our community in a convenient way. Our MMUs are varying sized vehicles custom fitted to be an extension of our clinic exam rooms, providing almost all of the same services as our Lung Health Clinic.
Our clinics provide free medical services to all individuals regardless of health insurance status and income. The clinics focus on lung health but provide care and treatment for a wide variety of common conditions and illnesses.
Common Conditions Treated:
- Asthma
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases (COPD)
- Cold, flu, and COVID-19 symptoms including cough, sore throat and fever
- Eye, ear, throat, sinus, and respiratory infections
- Heartburn and indigestion
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Insect bites and rashes
- Nausea, vomiting, & diarrhea
- Seasonal Allergies & more
Additional Services:
- Immunizations
- Physicals for school, work, and sports
- Smoking and vaping cessation
- Home visits for seniors
- Medication assistance programs (select medications)
- Referrals for specialty care (if deemed medically necessary)
Hours and Locations:
Mobile Medical Unit clinic hours and locations vary each week.
- Appointments are preferred, walk-ins are welcome but subject to wait and availability. It is recommended to call the clinic before arriving for a walk-in at one of our MMU sites to determine availability for that location and day.
